Meet the Author

Pronounced:  Gin-uh. Not Jeeeee-nuh.

S/W/F looking for… HA!  Just kidding. Kinda.

The first thing you should know about me is that I speak with a Southern accent.  I was raised in a small town in North Georgia, and as such, have developed a relatively thick accent, markedly thicker when meeting someone new or talking on the phone.  It's very Paula Deen.

My childhood was epic!  Contrary to my current tastes, I was every bit the tomboy in my day.  Mud pies and forts and lightning bugs and running away from home were very much a part of my makeup.  But even then, I was a juxtaposition.  I may have loved forts and Outer Space and playing doctor, but I did it all in pink sparkly Jellies.  I was a rebel.  I was a renegade.  I was fearless.

I love enthusiastic people, boardgames, Doritos, checking the mail, movies movies movies, the perfect shade of red lipstick, Fourth of July, shoes, handkerchiefs, library books, Tallulah Bankhead’s voice, studying fonts and package design, fresh flowers, navy blue, autumn, Atlanta, yellow bell peppers, my parent’s house, ducks, red fingernails, travel, strong vocabularies, early 1960s clothing, my blackberry, Coca-Cola Classic, Netflix, Germany, replaying scenes from the West Wing in my head, costume jewelry, hand-written notes, caramel cone crunch ice cream, my father's music, Christmas decorations, federalist architecture, InStyle and RealSimple magazines, strawberry Chapstick, and bowling.

I do not love ellipses as punctuation, raisins, the words "moist" or "ooze," poor grammar, spoons, diet beverages (I can taste the aspartame), endless chatter about pets, bad eye makeup, jorts, blurry photographs, bad teeth, jukeboxes, Comic Sans and Papyrus, insects/spiders/things with more than 4 legs, the Walmart parking lot, blisteringly hot car seats, and anything which needs to congeal before being eaten.

I graduated from college in 2007 and am a graphic designer and public relations specialist.  Ta-dah.
